The moment we've all been waiting for is finally here — the qualifying season for Future Disc Golf has officially begun! Across Europe and North America, young disc golf talents are stepping up to compete for a chance to secure their place at the historic Åland Open 2025.

With 13 qualifying events in the United States and several key tournaments across at least four European countries, the stage is set for an unforgettable summer of competition. Juniors will have the opportunity to prove their skills, passion, and determination as they aim to be part of the very first Future Disc Golf showcase.

This pilot year is all about discovering future champions and building the foundation for a new era in junior disc golf. Throughout May and June, we'll be sharing highlights, stories, and exclusive content from the qualifiers so that fans, friends, and families can follow every exciting moment.

You can also visit the Åland Open website to learn more about what is expected to happen on Åland in early August. As we find out how many and which players qualify during this first pilot year, we will release even more detailed information.

What we already know is that the participation fee will be €150 if you secure your spot for the week on Åland. This includes five nights of accommodation (if you bring your own mattress and sleeping bag) along with breakfast. Participants will also receive a player package that includes discs, a high-quality player shirt, and other disc golf products from our partners.

Moreover, players will have access to our team leaders, including legends like Avery Jenkins and Eric Oakley, and can fully participate in all side events throughout the week.

We are thrilled to see the first steps being taken by these incredible young athletes — and we can't wait to welcome them to Åland this August.

Stay tuned, follow Future of Disc Golf, and watch as the next generation of stars take flight!
